Abstract EN

The current study aimed to identify the level of concurrent thinking among a sample of talented students at king Abdulaziz university-Jeddah according to some demographic variables, where the synchronous thinking scale by Abdin (2016) was applied.

the sample consists of 224 talented female students from king Abdulaziz university in Jeddah with various educational levels and scientific and humanitarian specializations.

over half of the female students have a scientific specialization, as their number is (135) students, with percentage 60.3%, while (89) female students in the study sample had a humanitarian specialization, with a percentage of (39.7 %).

over half of the female students are in their fourth academic year or more, and their number are (118) female students with percentage (52.7%).

while (65) female students with percentage (29%) of the sample are in their third academic year, and (28) female students with percentage (12.5%) of the sample is in their second academic year, and (13) female students with percentage (5.8%) of the sample are in their first academic year.

the number of married female students are (32) with percentage (14.3%) of the study sample.

the results showed that there were statistically significant differences among the scores average of synchronous thinking in the study sample at the significance level (0.05) and the degree of freedom (223).

the results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the average scores of synchronous thinking and its components in the study sample, according to the variable of specialization, the variable of the academic year, and the variable of social status at the significance level (0.05).

some recommendations and proposed studies related to the results and topic of the study were discussed and presented.
