The disciplines of geography are experiencing a great information revolution; it is hard to deal and get benefit with unless using the technology of geographical information system (GIS) through the ability to perform various functions in the data and information management, processing, analyzing recording them and also the ability to renewing and connecting them with each other.

moreover, showing their results accurately and precisely in various forms.

so a responsible official may depend on them in treating many present problems especially the problems of educational services.

this paper provides a detailed picture of the spatial distribution of educational service institutions in the city of Erbil, highlighting their pattern of expansion and its compatibility with the population’s distribution across city districts.

the paper then identifies appropriate models for the establishment of educational services institutions at each level.
