The idea of the smart robot currently poses new challenges to traditional concepts of law, particularly in the area of legal personality.

it is legally recognized that the acquisition of legal personality is either for a natural person or a legal person.

this led some jurists to oppose the idea of granting the smart robot legal personality because it was inappropriate with current legal concepts.

thus, and through this study, we tried to figure out the extent to which a smart robot can be recognized as having a legal personality.

one of the findings we reached is that the idea of legal personality needs to be reviewed and the smart robot should be recognized as having a legal personality appropriate to its own character.
