Corruption is a criminal phenomenon of multiple forms that has negative effects on moral values, political life, economic and social aspects.

therefore, states have taken into consideration that tackling corruption is not limited to their official authorities only, but also includes individuals and international institutions that should play an effective role in the fight against corruption.

this necessitated the need to approve many agreements to activate international and regional efforts aimed at combating corruption and addressing it in order to facilitate the course of international cooperation in this field.
