This paper presents the theoretical aspects and the computer simulations of feedback control (closed loop) for a PIC18F452 microcontroller.
Here the operation of variable output for buck converter is controlled.
The Buck converter is a DC-DC converter which will step down a higher voltage to a lower voltage level.
This microcontroller is used to produce Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signal with variable duty cycle to drive the switch of the converter.
The switch then will alternate (turn the converter on and off) to produce regulated voltage.
In this paper the buck converter is modeled and evaluated by the computer simulations.
The simulation results related to the theoretical aspects will mentioned.
The result shows that the proposed PIC18F452 microcontroller operation is capable to the control operation of the buck converter
