This article deals with Imam Dhahabi’s concept of “bad Hadith” and rejected Hadiths by him.
It begins by defining “bad Hadith” linguistically and terminologically, introducing Imam Dhahabi, his books, his doctrine, his career and scholars’ opinions about him.
Then, a brief sketch about his book book “Sayr A’lam Alnubala” is presented, the source of this research.
His approach is also highlighted, studying the Hadiths under consideration.
There are 94 bad Hadiths, according to Imam Dhahabi.
I studied these Hadiths, their narrators, judging each Hadith and pinpointing Imam Dhahabi’s opinions and judgments.
