Abstract EN

This article aims to address the truth of the transmission alleged to contradict reasoning in issues of belief.

In fact, there are important methodological principles to look at the relation between transmission and reasoning.

These principles should be taken into consideration so as to avoid provisions far from correction, or exaggerate the position of reasoning as the basis of transmission.

These principles include: the straightforward reasoning that collects what is agreed on and distinguishes it from what is differentiated as impossible to contradict Sharia as revealed by the Prophet (PBUH).

It is not possible to reach an absolute decision between transmission and reasoning.

There are two reasons to prefer transmission over reasoning, the first of which is that transmission be weak or corrupt, and which comes with Sunna.

The second is the corruption and weakness of what is understood of transmission if it is correct.

What is disputed of transmission is actually false.

This was not clear in the opponents’ approach for several reasons, the most important of which are: ignorance of Islamic sciences, which have been excelled by scientists especially those of Hadith.

This is so because these scientists have made use of accurate and strong approaches to distinguish the correct form the incorrect Hadiths, their explanations and narrators.
