Abstract EN

This article aims to clarify the fact of Sunna of the prophet and his caliphs in handling calamities, and that it is the prophet’s (PBUH) way that should be considered over his caliphs’.

this is due to the fact that the caliphs’ way is a result of that of the prophet (PBUH), and here lies the importance of the present study.

the study employs the inductive descriptive and analytical approach.

it consists of an introduction, six main sections and conclusion.

it concludes that it is very important to link the science of jurisprudence foundations to the prophet’s (PBUH) Sunna, instead of linking it to caliphs’ ijtihad, as the latter is just a result of the former, as has been mentioned above.
