Abstract EN

This article deals with freeing Abraham (PBUH) from accusations that dispraise him and the infallibility of the prophets in general and which slander his prophethood, through utterances and texts that critics have misinterpreted, either due to evil intentions, or due to incorrect understanding, or due to both.

these utterances are of three types : 1.

what has been narrated describes Abraham's deeds as lying.

2.

what has been narrated concerning Abraham's watching of stars.

3.

what has been narrated concerning Abraham's asking Allah of how the dead are resuscitated.

critics have taken these deeds and built wrong conceptions about Abraham (PBUH) as if he has made defects that dispraised him and the infallibility of the prophets.

thus, i have replied to these wrong conceptions and tried to free him from whatever accused him, as well as the intended meanings of these utterances.

the research concludes with some results, the most important of which are : 1.

not every deviation from the truth is blameworthy.

2.

opposition can be verbal, nonverbal, or both.

3.

incorrect understanding is of the reasons that dispraise the infallibility of the prophets.

4.

every text’s connotation should be contextualized according to the prophethood status.
