This article aims to highlight the value of Algharib compilations in (the Qur'an, hadith, and language), because it tackles one of its prominent features, viz.

rooting and etymological connection.

these compilations are considered a linguistic treasure that should not be overlooked in the research of rooting in Arabic language words and their etymology.

these books involve an array of words that Algharib interpreters seek to trace and explore their semantics, origins and additional meanings, probing deeply the roots of such words and their various derivations and connotations.

the study employs the descriptive and analytical approach, along with the inductive approach, tracing the semantics of words, and sometimes the deductive approach.

by amalgamating these approaches, the study defines their way of words derivation, as well as the way they connect to each other, on the one hand, and words association with the meanings they denote, on the other.

this shows us those strong ties between the language and the Arab life, their way of thinking, their traditions and their behaviors.

consequently, we could consider these compilations to be initiative works and a basic pillar for making the historical dictionaries, because they include rooting of words and explaining their derivational connections.

however, the study has not covered all the features of these compilations as they are a fertile and vast field for those interested in searching for the hidden secrets and valuable characteristics of Arabic language.
