Abstract EN

This article aims to study the rumors in human’s life since ancient times.

rumors are dangerous, so they must be faced through the sharia approach of the Holy Qur’an, Sunna and Salaf’s applications of this approach.

this study attempts to uncover this approach by extrapolating the texts of the Holy Qur’an, Sunna and the history of the Salaf.

it also demonstrates the types of rumors, their causes, the divisions of people in receiving rumors, and their impact on the individual and society.

the study concludes with some results, including that the correct sharia approach to dealing with rumors, confronting them, and drying their sources is the one originating in and from the Holy Qur’an and Sunna.

it also concludes that the fastest nations to believe rumors are the ignorant nations, and it is necessary to be cautious of rumors, to confirm the transmission of news, and to be alert to the danger of the hypocrites.

the study recommends the use of various media outlets to uncover and refute rumors, impose penalties against those who broadcast and spread rumors, and defame them if necessary, especially if the rumors target the unity of the nation, or the sanctities and honor of Muslims.
