Abstract EN

This article aims to show the big disagreements between researchers about Imam Beqa'i's approach to the objective interpretation, acceptance and rejection, through the most important traits of his approach, namely “the significance of Surat’s name on its purpose”.

The study problem lies in the precision of applying his rule, on the one hand, and its unclarity which gives a room for opponents, on the other hand.

The study employs the analytical approach to analyze the opinions of proponents and opponents of the issue under investigation.

It also employs critical approach to balance these opinions and choose the correct ones.

The study concludes that Imam Beqa'i’s rule is correct and precise for being a great advancement in the objectiveinterpretation and that disagreements about it arise due to the fact that the opponents do not understand it.

The proponents advocate that the name of any Surat signifies its content and purpose, giving it a comprehensive significance.

In addition, the multiple names of one Surat all meet in including the content of it.

This actually embodies and proves Imam Beqa’i’s appraoch to objective interpretation.
