This research has been designed to examine the issue of how effective the impact of practical lessons for the first semester is on the functional activity of musculoskeletal tissue, its relation to physical performance in 25-meter freestyle swimming, and detect if there was any correlation between insulin-like growth hormone and the physical performance level in 25-meter freestyle swimming.
Therefore, the main goal was based on discovering the relationship between some indicators of muscular tissue growth "insulin-like growth hormone" and the physical performance level in 25-meter freestyle swimming.
The research was conducted on a sample of eight freshmen deliberately chosen from Physical Education and Sport Science College.
Those chosen freshmen were good swimmers; the rate of their ages, weights, and heights was ranging from (21, 7) year, (69, 4) kg, and (175, 1) Cm respectively.
The researcher has adopted quasi-experimental approach in one-group design of two tests (pre and post) to suit the nature of research.
Accordingly, the researcher discovered that the physical efforts of practical lessons for the first semester had brought about an improvement in the time of physical performance in 25-meter freestyle swimming.
That could be attributed to the positive development of the relevant muscular sets that which led to increasing activity of insulin-like growth hormone.
The researcher has recommended taking advantage of the current study results that should be adopted in training aspect.
According to the results, there is an inverse correlation between functional variables, digital level, and physical competence in performing 25-meter freestyle swimming.
Additionally, there is a direct correlation between the level of systematic exposure to physical efforts of practical lessons and the level of some functional activity indicators of muscular tissue in insulin-like growth hormone.
