Abstract EN
Since 1990, in Setif, the Parents of Children with Cerebral Palsy's association (APIMC) has been providing support directly to students due to the lack of specialised schools and their exclusion from general schools.
Significant progress in terms of improving the living environment and behaviour of these young people has been observed, as well as increased school enrolment.
Several projects are being developed to promote inclusive schooling with training for teachers/inspectors and partnerships with several local institutions, in addition to carrying out a diagnosis of needs (training, support, accessibility).
The National Institute for the Training of Education Officials has committed itself alongside the APIMC to training teachers, inspectors and directors, as have other State administrations (Youth and Sports, Directorate of Social and Cultural Action).
The article presents and analyses all these projects for a more inclusive school and access for all to civic life without discrimination.
