Abstract EN

The current Study aimed at identifying the Student teachers' evaluation in the Curriculum and Instruction Depart- ment ofthe College of Education at King Saud University for the effectiveness of cooperating schools, measuring the significance of Qatiétical differences according to the variable of gender and major; and providing proposals for good cooperating school specifications.

The Study sample was (102 Student teachers).

The Study followed a mixed research method by combining the quantitative and qualitative approaches to collect Study data and analyze it using two tools, the questionnaire and the interview.

The results of the Study resulted in an increase in the average responses of the Student teachers in their assessment of the ef- fectiveness of cooperating schools, where the overall average of male responses (2.80) and the overall average of female respons- es (2.44).

The results also indicated the presence of Qatistically significant differences at the level (u < 0.01) between the aver- ages of male and female student responses in favor of Students; while the results did not indicate Qatistically significant differ- ences according to the major variable.

In the light of a review of the theoretical literature and the sample's responses to the two Study tools, specifications were identified that should be met in cooperating schools in order to create an appropriate training environment that contributes to facilitating the task of students' teachers achieving the goals of the field education course.
