Abstract EN

This Study aimed to definehowfar the female Students at the Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University practice the volunteer work, and what areas they wish to participate in, and the benefits expected from participation, as well the obsta- cles that prevent their participation.

The Study used the descrip- tive approach and the questionnaire as a tool for the Qudy, and has been distributed to (450) female Qudents, the most important results were that female Qudents want to participate in volunteer work with a degree of approval and SMA (3 out of 4,0()); the most important areas they want to participate in are: the desire to help the poor people, followed by visiting patients, then par- ticipation in programs for people with special needs; in terms of expected benefits: acquisition of a new skill, followed by utiliz- ing the leisure times, and then promote national identity; in terms of the obstacles, the most important were the absence of volun- teerismculture, lack of ingtitutions supporting volunteeringpro- grams, poor awareness of the voluntary work benefits; in light of these findings the Study made a number of recommendations.
