Abstract EN

This research examines linguistic semiotics, considering it as an independent science that has been the mainstay of linguis- tics.

The first chapter scrutinizes the definition of semiotics and its connection with language, through a systematic conception, depart- ing from historical and descriptive studies and offering an analysis of this novel science and its most significant structural features.

The second chapter focuses on the relationship of linguistic semiotics with the science of discourse, text, interpretation, and meaning.

In- deed, Linguistic semiotics has become functional in various fields of knowledge.

Furthermore, it has become an approach of reading and analysis
