Abstract EN

This study aimed to evaluate the experience of Mathematics distance education through synchronous digital applications during the Covid-19 pandemic in Palestine, by indentifying the most significant pros of mathematics distance education and its difficulties through synchronous digital applications.

The research also aimed to propose a number of recommendations in order to improve this experience.

The researcher used the qualitative approach, and interviewed (12) Mathematics teach- ers in Palestine.

The results showed that Mathematics distance education through synchronous digital applications contributed to ensuring the continuity of education during the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as intro- ducing the educational content in an interesting and attractive way.

In addition, the results showed a number of difficulties faced by teachers, including: weak commitment by students to attend synchronous meet- ings, low internet speed that does not match requirements of distance education, lack of computers, messiness caused by students while learn- ing, and absence of discipline during synchronous meetings.

The study introduces a number of recommendations, including: training teachers and students on synchronous digital applications, developing education- al content that fits with education through synchronous digital applica- tions, taking steps that contribute to enhance students’ commitment at- tending synchronous meetings, and providing other requirements such as computers for students and interactive whiteboards for teachers, as well as boosting internet speed.
