This article underlines the migration of a population coming from the Mediterranean basin; that’s to say Maghreb ( Algeriansd,Moroccans,Tunisians),Southern Europe (Spanish,Italians,Portuguese) and Turkey ( Armenians, Turks) who had left their native countries due to economic and/or political reasons, with or without a labor contract and who had chosen to reach France during the 1920's to 1970's.The article also retraces the migratory itinerary of these men and men from the region of origin to the definitive attachment point.
It analyses the different geographical mobility forms and the causes that are at the origin.
The study, therefore, shows that France is sometimes only the final stage of a migratory journey that began inside the country of origin or in a third country and that the spatial mobility observed is inherent to history of various migratory flows and to changes that France had witnessed all along the 20th century, owing to the development, chiefly of urbanization and industrialization.

Cet article s'intéresse à la migration d'une population originaire du bassin méditerranéen, Maghreb (Algériens, Marocains, Tunisiens), Europe du Sud (Espagnols, Italiens, Portugais) et de Turquie, (Arméniens, Turcs) ayant quitté leur pays d'origine pour des raisons économiques, et/ ou politiques, avec ou sans contrat de travail et qui ont choisi de terminer leur parcours migratoire en France au cours des années 1920 à 1970.
Il retrace l'itinéraire migratoire de ces hommes et de ces femmes depuis la région d'origine jusqu'au point de fixation « définitif ».
Il analyse les différentes formes de mobilité géographique et les causes qui en sont à l'origine.
L'étude montre ainsi que la France n'est parfois, que l'étape terminale d'un parcours migratoire commencé à l'intérieur du pays d'origine ou dans un pays tiers et que la mobilité spatiale observée est inhérente à l'histoire des différents courants migratoires et aux changements qu'a connu la France tout au long du vingtième siècle avec le développement notamment de l'urbanisation et de l'industrialisation.
