Abstract EN

The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of collocation in textual consistency in the linguistic content of the basic book of International University of Africa (Part III).

collocation is one of the important means of text coherence, because it strengthens the links between the sentences in the text and makes it more coherent.

Descriptive method that based on analysis, extrapolation, description and statistics was used in this study.

One of the main objectives of this study is to: define the collocation and its importance in textual studies, List all types of collocation in the third part of the basic book, to explain the role of collocation in textual consistency of the linguistic content of basic book, so the most important of the study is that: The relationship of the part to all is the most common relations of collocation that spread in the basic book.
