المدح عند الشعراء المخضرمين : مقاربة بين كعب بن زهير و حسان بن ثابت

Abstract EN

This study deals with the purpose of praise in the poetry ofKaab bin Zuhair and Hassan bin Thabit through their selected poems PanatSuaad (Suaad has come into sight) and WaAkrim Be GaominRasoulallahShiyatahum (Honor people whom the Messenger of Allah is their companion) in order to conduct a comparison between them through their purpose of praise.

The study carried outpoetic, critical, rhetorical and prosodic comparison to highlight the areas of similarities and differences between them, with reference to the different contexts of explanation, analysis, criticism.

The study finds that both of them worked hard in the choice of vocabulary to describe the person who is being praised, and they converged in the issue ofexpression and depiction of courage, patience and persistence, both of them used simple poetic meter in the praise, which is relevant to this purpose.

However, they differed in the poetic expressions because the expressions of Kaab tend to difficulty and ambiguity of words, whereas the poem of Hassan is characterized by simple expressions.

Finally, as far as rhetoric is concerned, Kaab focused on the style, while Hassan diversified the rhetorical arts of semantic, style and rhetorical devices
