Abstract EN

This research addresses the impact of words order in identifying the syntactic connotation of Arabic language non-native learners, it also aims at proving the importance of syntactic order in determining the syntactic meaning of Arabic non-native learners, and clarification of its effect, focusing on the two types of Arabic sentence.

the study tests the senior students to identify the syntactic connotation in fixed and free words order, to address the problems that confront Arabic non-native learners.

the research is based upon the descriptive methods as well as its relevant tools such as observation, analysis, induction and statistics.

the research is divided into three axes: the first axis is the general framework and previous studies, the second axis includes the pre-test and its results analysis, the third axis presents the post-test and its results analysis.

the most important results that the research reached are: students’ mistakes percentage in identifying the free order is bigger than the fixed one, the percentage between the two types of order is equal, students depend on verbal clues more the semantic clues in identifying the syntactic meaning, and the explaining the theory of clues has an effect on the ability of the examined students to identify the syntactic meaning.

if students understand this theory, the word order with its two types will not impede their syntactic meaning identification.
