Abstract EN

The study deals with humanism values in the poetry of the prolific poet Hassan Bin Thabit, who lived during both, pre-Islamic and early Islamic eras.

the study worked on exploring and searching these values in his poetry, guided by the general notion of the concept of values, however, the poetry of Hassan Bin Thabit is rich of humanism values, he wrote poetry on different types of these values such as pride, generosity, courage, insight, heroism, the habit of drinking wine, and other values.

similarly, Hassan devoted more space to Islamic values in his poetry and favored them a lot and wrote poetry on most of the values that came by Islam such as : monotheism, jihad, faith, and honesty, and truthfulness, brotherhood, chastity of the tongue, virility, and humility.

moreover, the results reveal that he used poetic device intensively such assimile, metaphor and others, also hewidely used repetition and reflexive pronouns for emphasis.

finally, he sought wisdom and guidance in his poetry about Islamic values.
