Abstract EN

The research aimed to know the reality of the practices of Arabic language teachers in dealing with spelling errors among elementary school students in al-Aflaj governorate.

due to the nature of the subject of the current study, the researcher used the descriptive approach (survey), which is one of the scientific methods for collecting information.

he used the questionnaire as a tool to collect the necessary information about the study.

due to the small size of the study population, the study population is its sample.

the researcher distributed the study questionnaire electronically to all members of the study community, whose number is (83) teachers of Arabic language in the elementary stage in the province of Aflaj, and the sample is inclusive of the community.

the researcher distributed the research questionnaire electronically to all members of the community, and (80) questionnaires representing (96.3%) of the total research community were retrieved, and after analyzing the responses, the researcher reached many results, the most important of which are : the degree of practice of Arabic language teachers in identifying spelling errors their discovery, analysis, and treatment among primary school students in the province of Aflaj came with a (medium) grade in general, with an average of (3.27 out of 5.00), (3.34 out of 5.00), (3.56 out of 5.00), respectively, and the results also resulted in obstacles facing language teachers.

Arabic in dealing with spelling errors among elementary school students in Aflaj governorate ; with a degree (high) in general, with an average of (3.61 out of 5.00), the most important of these obstacles were (often) : -assigning the teaching of the Arabic language to non-specialized teachers.

-the existence of individual differences between students, which leads to the difficulty of handling spelling errors for all students within the class.

-the student’s lack of interest in following up on the response to the spelling processing procedures.

in light of the research results presented, the researcher recommends reviewing the teaching curricula in educational colleges and developing the skills of students of Arabic language colleges in their teaching methods.
