Abstract EN
Like all other Arab peoples the Palestinian people consist of three ty pes , village people, city people and bedouins.
The present article deals only with wedding traditions among Palestinians who reside in villages.
A tradition is difined then the wedding traditions are discribed in great detail in chronological order according to the different stages of the wedding celebrations.
Seven such stages are mentioned and described.
A generous sample of songs used at each stage is given in the article and the traditional practices at each stage are described.
A short discussion of the changes taking place in these practices closes the article.
