Abstract EN
The author of this article begins by discussing the linguistic origins of proverbs in Palestine, their meanings , and how they were recorded.
He then gives examples representing the various Palestinian dialects by demonstrating how selected words are pronounced in various regions of Palestine.
Proverbs are then treated in terms of their structure, internal and external contradictions, and the meanings they impart.
