This article is a re-writing of a unit contributed by the same authors to a textbook on Palestinian Folklore published by Al-Quds Open Universty for its students .

The article begins by defining folklore and pointing out its four main components : 1- Popular Literature .

3- Popular Beliefs .

4- Cultural Material and Popular Arts .

After that , the researchers proceed to discuss material culture at why popular arts are linked to material culture and give relevant examples all the way through .
