Data and records are the cornerstones of the Public administration of Alexandria University because they represent the work and decision-making pillars.

Therefore, the Public administration of Alexandria University should govern its informational and documentary environment to manage its data and records effectively.

The study's problem is the researcher's desire to monitor the changes that occurred in data and document governance in the Public administration of Alexandria University- now - after ten years have passed since the researcher studied the reality of data and records in it in 2010.

The study uses the case study method.The study concludes: There is a direct relationship between institutions' ability to practice governance of data and documents and the stability of the political situation in the country to which they belong.

The study also proves that records governance in the Public administration of Alexandria University witnesses a good improvement in 2020 compared to 2010 and the data sector, which also witnesses an improvement in 2020.

Still, it is limited compared to the records sector.
