Abstract EN

This research aims to tackle the crimes of assault on Waqf (Endowment) property by explaining its forms, rulings and penalties mandated for it in Islamic jurisprudence and the Saudi Law in order to preserve and safeguard the Waqf (Endowment) properties.

This research concluded that the Islamic Sharia and Saudi Law are in agreement that the criminal protection for Waqf (Endowment) properties and Waqf (Endowment) personage aims to preserve these properties and deter anyone who might be tempted to attack them in any way, especially since crimes of assault on Waqf (Endowment) property have become a common occurrence in recent times.

The researcher concluded his research by requesting the Saudi regulator to amend the laws and regulations related to Awqaf (Endowments), criminalizing any attacks on Waqf (Endowment) properties and providing related images of the crimes in order to achieve public and private deterrence in society and make the crimes of assault on Waqf (Endowment) property be among the major crimes that breach the perpetrator’s honor and honesty.
