Abstract EN
Objective : To evaluate renal angiography and embolization in the management of post percutaneous nephrolithotomy bleeding.
Methods : Out of 750 patients who underwent percutaneous nephrolithotomy, a total of 160 patients had bleeding after the procedure.
Renal angiography and embolization to stop the bleeding was performed in six patients.
Results : Cessation of bleeding was immediately achieved in one patient, after 24 hours in four patients, and after 48 hours in one patient.
Conclusion : Renal angiography and embolization is a safe and effective method for treatment of post percutaneous nephrolithotomy bleeding when other measures fail.
