Abstract EN

This study deals with the argumentative value of the structural sentences in the poetry of Torfa Ibn Al-Abd; this is to link grammar with significance and argumentations, linking the sentences to their argumentative and purposeful context which enriches textual studies.

Some of the intended argumentative values were revealed in his poetry such as affirmation, exclamation, petition, supplication, adoration, guidance, denial and intimidation, which the poet wanted to influence the spectators, and the receiver of his poetry perceives them in light of his linguistic and grammatical knowledge The study confirmed that the constructive and informative sentences in his poetry are among the argumentative means which are intended to attract spectators to his ideas and visions of an ideal world that is free from injustice, and is controlled by justice, brotherhood, unity and affection.

So, these sentences acquired an argumentative appeal in his poetry
