Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying the level of cognitive achievement in football law among the students of the sports sciences faculty at Mu'tah University according to the variables of academic level and resource of information.

The descriptive approach was used in conducting the study.

The study sample consisted of (38) students enrolled in the course of "advanced football" in the Sports Sciences Faculty at Mu'tah university.

The researcher used suggested questions from football law (2017/2018) as the study tool, which consisted of (20) questions.

The researcher verified the validity and reliability of the study tool, where the reliability coefficient was (94.3).

The researcher used the statistical methods; means, standard deviations, one-way analysis of variance, as well as T-test for two independent samples in order to find out the results.

The results showed that the means for the students' responses regarding the test of cognitive achievement regarding the items of football law in total were medium.

The results showed that there are no statistically significant differences regarding the level of cognitive achievement due to the variable of academic level and the resource of legal information.

The study recommended the necessity of discussing T.V scenes in teaching the items of football.
