Abstract EN

The current study aimed to identify the extent of the contribution of electronic educational platforms to the development of digital competencies of the teacher by taking the Madrasati platform as a model for the study, in addition to revealing the presence of statistically significant differences in the answers of the study sample towards the role of electronic educational platforms in the development of digital competencies of the teacher attributed for a variable (gender, number of years of experience).

for this purpose, the descriptive approach was used to answer the study questions and achieve its objectives.

a questionnaire was prepared and consisted of three areas (the basic computer skills competencies, the competencies of dealing with the Madrasati platform system, the competencies of electronic teaching methods through the Madrasati platform) and it was distributed to the study sample that consisted of (212) male and female teachers.

the results indicated that the arithmetic mean of the total score for all paragraphs and areas of the contribution of electronic educational platforms (Madrasati platform) to the development of the teacher's digital competencies was (68.50), i.e.

with a significant degree of agreement.

the results also showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤ 0.05) in the answers of the study sample towards the role of electronic educational platforms in the development of the teacher's digital competencies due to the gender variable.

and there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤ 0.05) in the answers of the study sample towards the role of electronic educational platforms in developing the teacher's digital competencies due to the variable years of experience.

the study concluded with many recommendations, including : the necessity of continuous attention to the development of the digital competencies of the teacher in light of the current circumstances, and in order to keep pace with all the developments of the technological era in the educational field and the employment of technology in the service of the educational process, and this can only be achieved with the presence of qualified and qualified teachers.

and the need to take advantage of the pattern of electronic educational platforms in the developed countries in order to activate the principle of exchanging experiences and benefiting from the different models of education around the world.

the study also recommended the importance of holding training courses and workshops in order to raise the level of digital competencies of the teacher.

finally, the study recommended the necessity of publishing the kingdom’s experience in its ability to transform to e-learning at a record speed, employing a platform with specifications and capabilities comparable to international platforms, and intensifying Arab and foreign studies on that.
