Abstract EN

The researcher's objective of this study is to identify the most applicable alternative provisions the in the field of juvenile delinquency from the perspective of juvenile court judges, social workers, identify the social impact of the alternative provisions, the obstacles facing it and the suggestions to overcome them, as well as find mechanisms for applying those provisions,.

the study is reached to the following important results: that the applicable provisions are representing in obligation the juvenile to serve disabled persons, elders and patient, and doing public service as relief works as conditional release, house arrest, and also it turned out that the alternative provisions have a social impact which is that it will: greatly participate in the juvenile's correction and reform, lead to the awakening of conscience and social responsibility, strengthen of the national and social belonging at the juvenile delinquents' souls, decrease the numbers of deviants,.

it was also found that there are constraints which hinder the alternative provisions' applying and the convinced weakness of some juveniles'' judges with alternative provisions, the proposals to overcome the obstacles are to prepare the public opinion to accept the alternative provisions through the media, the establishment of training courses of social workers about everything related to alternative provisions.

in the end, the researcher concluded the mechanisms of application of alternative judgments, among of which is that the judge shall pass the original judgment on the juvenile before uttering the alternative provision, the follow-up specialist shall follow-up the juvenile at the body headquarters to make sure of his commitment to work, and notifying the body that it will be legally punished in case of non-honesty and seriousness.

finally, if the juvenile achieved the aim, he shall be set free, and shall be notified that if he committed the crime once more within a period of time, to be determined by the judge, he shall be punished with the original punishment along with the new one.
