Language is a vital part of human connection.

nowadays, we live in a globalized world, where numerous countries and cultures are connected, whether by commercial or political relations, or merely cultural exchanges.

we cannot deny that there are linguistic barriers since these relations and exchanges are often established between countries and people that don’t speak the same language.

in a world with over 7000 spoken languages, translation is important because it allows people to communicate and understand each other’s ideas and cultures.

translation is related to the educational and teaching field, as it is a channel that transmits knowledge, culture, values, customs and traditions, and this is what we find in the educational textbook.

this study entitled «the problems in translating words from English to Arabic in middle school teaching textbook, year three» tries to highlight the translation errors in the textbook dictionary and show how the context is important in translation.

therefore, we have analyzed errors and mentioned their effects on learning and then, suggested some alternatives.
