This research is concerned with defining the features of Ibn Abd al-Barr's methodology in explaining the preface and remembrance, and comparing three places in them.

Among the research objectives: Introducing Imam Ibn Abd al-Bar, introducing the Book of Preface and Remembrance in to explain Al Muwatta, Highlighting the aspects of agreement and difference between Preface and Remembrance, A study of Ibn Abdul-Barr's approach to the two books and the relationship of the two books to each other , And I followed the descriptive approach in it, the hadith craftsmanship emerged in the Preface, and from that: mentioning the hadiths with their chains of transmission, whether they were witnesses and follow-ups or evidence in the dispute , and he mentioned the body of the hadith even if it was long and not limited to the witness in most of his actions, and it emerged The jurisprudential profession in recollection It is manifested in the following elements: Editing the subject of dispute, mentioning the reason for the dispute, mentioning the disagreement on the four schools of thought and other scholars, mentioning the evidence on the issue, mentioning the sayings of the Companions and the followers mentioning their agreement or disagreement among them, mentioning Statements within the Maliki school of thought, defining the saying of the public, discussing the evidence and indicating its weakness or strength.
