Abstract EN

Lawmakers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have always been keen to combat harassment crimes of all types by enacting a law to combat these crimes.

In 1439 AH, the Anti-Harassment Law was enacted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a major step forward on the road of addressing and combating harassment crimes in accordance with the criminal policy in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Therefore, taking into consideration that harassment crimes vary in degree and heinousness and some of them lead to intensified penalties, the researcher opted for discussing a topic related to cyber-harassment crimes.

Considering the significance of the study, the researcher investigated the issue of sexual harassment via modern technology means.

In addition, the new harassment law which was recently enacted in Saudi Arabia added to the importance and significance of the topic – not to mention the serious lack in the number of the studies that dealt with this topic in particular.

Thus, in this research, we attempted analyzing the legal and judicial system of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in light of the Anti-Harassment Crime Law which was enacted by virtue of the Royal Decree No (M/96) on 16/09/1439 AH (M/1), through reviewing all the Articles included in the Law, in general, and the aggravating circumstances, in particular.
