Abstract EN

The study has aimed at identifying the impact of credit facilities (direct, indirect) on the profitability with its dimensions (return on assets and return on equity) in Jordanian commercial banks for the period 2010-2018.

The study has relied on the analytical descriptive approach because it is suitable for achieving the objectives of the study.

The study population has consisted of all commercial banks operating in Jordan and listed in the Amman Stock Exchange.

The study sample has consisted of (7) commercial banks.

The results of the study have showed that there is a statistically positive significant effect at the level of (α≥ 0.05) of the total bank facilities provided (direct, indirect) on the profitability of Jordanian commercial banks (return on assets and return on equity).

In light of the results, the study came out with a set of recommendations, including: It is necessary for the commercial banks of Jordan to focus on maintaining their assets and assets owned in order to improve their profitability, and Jordanian commercial banksshould focus on maintaining the facilities granted to customers because they have a positive impact on the profitability of commercial banks and they are the main link in financing the bank's activities.
