English Abstract

This study primarily aim to investigate the impact of applying the EFQM model on organizational performance in Orange – Jordan – Telecommunication sector through distributing questionnaires to assess the degree of applying EFQM model in relation to their performance.

The study used the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) to generate descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and (regression analysis), the response rate from respondents was %8333 The findings of this research concluded that EFQM model criteria (leadership, strategy, people, partnership and resources, and processes products and services) do affect performance of Orange - Jordan in positive way.

Also, the study leads to recommending the necessity of the added value when applying the EFQM model to achieve the desired level of results on perspectives performance of Orange.

Based on the study outcomes, the researcher recommends to build on this study and identify durability of the business excellence model on different business sectors and companies to assess the level of potential improvement in organizational performance as a result of applying the EFQM model.

Organizational performance is a reflection of how organizations use their financial and human Resources, and exploiting them in a way to be able to achieve their goals, Thus, we note from this definition that performance is the sum of the interaction of two basic elements, first is the use of resources i.e.

efficiency, and secondly is the results come from that use, i.e.

effectiveness.

Organizational excellence is a kind of managerial creativity and organizational development to achieve high levels of performance in order to achieve high-expected accomplishments and satisfy organization's stakeholder.

"Excellence Management" expresses the need for an integrated comprehensive approach that pools the elements of organizations on a solid superior basis that realizes their capabilities and using it in anticipating and reacting to the external changes and conditions surrounding their working environment and how to excel and stay in the markets bringing benefits for all interested stakeholders.

Organizational performance is a measure used to measure and evaluate an organization's success in preparing and delivering the expected value to its internal and external users.

Organizational performance is the ability of the institution to overcome challenges that are in the form of goals and the ability to measure productivity.

The Balanced scorecard emerged new measures of both financial and nonfinancial, which can provide together clear and useful information about the organization performance.

Organizations that implement the Balanced Score Cards system (BSC) depends on measuring the performance through different (financial and non- financial) dimensions or perspectives.

The Balanced Scorecard System covers four major perspectives: (1) financial, (2) customer, (3) internal processes and (4) learning and growth
