Abstract EN

AThe scientific journey is one of the most famous manifestations of scholarly activities in Andalusia, where students travel from their country to the nearest city, or to the capital of the region, then to the capital of the state, andfinallythey go abroad, especially to the countries of the Islamic East.

Andalusians were very fond of scientific journeys; thus, the names of many of them appeared in different intellectual councils in the capitals and also major cities of the Islamic world.

Such ajourney became an essential process in the scientific formation of Andalusians by giving it great interest.

Among the results of these scientific journeys was that it brought about a comprehensive intellectual renaissance in Andalusia, a great prosperity in various sciences, emergence of many scholars who became famous throughout the Islamic world.

Consequently, Andalusia became a great scientific center comparable to the East despite the latter's historical precedent in the field of science and knowledge.
