Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the importance of developing emotional intelligence as a tool for reducing school violence in the light of the Goldman model.

This will be done through identifying the concept of emotional intelligence and its importance, identifying its dimensions and ways and means of developing its skills, identifying the causes, forms, and manifestations of school violence, identifying the consequences of school violence on pupils in various fields, and finally setting up proposals to activate and develop emotional intelligence skills to reduce school violence.

To achieve the objectives of the study, we relied on the descriptive analytical.

The results of the study pointed out that one of the reasons for the existence of school violence is the lack of emotional intelligence, which includes: Empathy, the ability to feel the feelings of others, and control emotions when dealing with others.

The study suggests several recommendations, the most important of which is the need to sensitize students to the importance of emotional intelligence and to train them in the skills of social interaction and dealing well with others.

How to deal with different social situations through increasing social programs that include non-methodological activities and aim at developing a sense of social responsibility, generalizing its use in educational programs, engaging students in various sports and cultural activities in educational institutions, and training them in developing their emotional skills.
