Abstract EN

The current research was conducted on an occasional sample size of 50 intellectuals.

Its purpose is to reveal the attitudes of the intellectuals towards the impact of stigmatizing of women convicted of adultery crimes, murder, and violence, and on their perception and their behavior about them.

And the level of their overcoming stereotypical convictions, such as Isolation, loss of status, discrimination.

and others, about those women involved in these crimes.

And the following results were reached: The intellectuals deal more rational than others, with women who were implicated and imprisoned, and support the harshest possible legal punishment, deterrence for them, as they prefer to be cautious about dealing with these convict, and they refuse completely to marry them; or from one of their relatives, this is stemming from the gender of the intellectual, given to the social stigmatization related to them due to the prison, per se, on the one hand, and because of the crime committed on the other hand, but these convicts refuse the inherent stigma and its perpetuity that makes the criminal behavior take root in them, and become a firm nature in them, and dominate their practices with the others, which makes them addicted to, as a response of what they face of the negative effects that increase their suffering and pain resulting from imprisonment and crime, and their repercussions and torments, and they believe this might be negated by invoking the sharia law.
