This research aims at revealing the role of the introduction of the basic Arabic dictionary in the dictionary browser as the longest introduction to a contemporary dictionary, this is because of the historical illuminations of the Arabic language and grammatical, morphological, and spelling data.

the non-Arabic speaker has been able to take adequate information about the dictionary system and the extent to which the standards and linguistic bases adopted in the introduction of contemporary dictionaries.

finally, the introduction of the basic Arabic dictionary tried to exploit the contemporary linguistic theory in several places, including the adoption of the principle of communion in the collection of the vocabulary and the purpose and function contained in the introduction on the other hand, it is a simulation of traditional dictionaries in many aspects of the situation such as not clarifying the method of definition or interpretation that will be adopted by the dictionary, and completely without justifying not to use some aids to the reader, such as illustrations and tables.
