Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is to explore the most appropriate methodology in the analysis of texts, in the field of textual linguistics, from the choice of the appropriate methodology and the way to deal with the corpus.

and focussing on a central issue : namely the cases where contexts ; the acceptability of participants in the verbal process, the encyclopaedic knowledge associated with the environment in which the speech was produced and so on, should be implemented in the analyses ; and when the text must be isolated and analyzed without reference to extraneous contexts.

the study also discussed the possibility of isolating the text from external factors in textual linguistics, through analysis of textual phenomena in authentic documents, in order to discuss the suggestions of some researchers in this field.

the research also proposed a re-examination of the tasks assigned to both textual linguistics and discourse analysis, in which the dispute still exists even in western studies.

this paper also emphasizes the necessity to choose the methodology in regard of the nature of the problematic of the study in particular, and according to its requirements, because the attempt to create a model of one method for every problematic in a field of study must may miss the objectives that the researcher seeks to access them.
