Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the reality of the intellectual crisis among Palestinian youth and its relationship to the internet.

the descriptive approach was used to collect data from the study community.

the most important results were: the causes of the intellectual crisis are due to the presence of geographical restrictions and excessive openness of knowledge from the view of the sample members, and that internet addiction leads to the crisis of violent thought and the rush of young people to spontaneous imitation, and that the most important effects resulting from the use of the internet is : internet addiction and wasted time on browsing social networking sites and virtual games that lead to wasting time and energy of young people which affect their level of productivity and intelligence, and the systematic destruction of some sites of the system of moral values in the society.

the most important recommendations were: the need to conduct awareness campaigns for young people in general about the dangers and negatives of the internet through media, official and non-official bodies in the state of Palestine, because the youth group is often targeted by hostile parties, and the need to monitor social media by those concerned, especially the ministry of communications and mail to limit the spread of subversive western ideas and programs with low-profile addresses and their penetration among young people, by encrypting these sites.
