The current study aims to determine the effect of using the information and communication technology on the performance of insurance companies in Algeria, by directing a questionnaire to insurance agencies operating in Oum el Bouaghi.

the study found a statistically significant effect among the study variables, reflecting the importance of technology in the conduct of insurance operations.

the study also found a significant weakness of employees in employing this technology due to the same training courses approved at the national level as a whole.
