Abstract EN

The translation of African literature written in French raised several problems due specially to the nature of African writing characterized by its linguistic and cultural pluralism, in addition to the narrative specificities of African literature-mainly post- colonial literature- which urged African writers to get rid of the dominance of colonial language and to emphasize the authenticity and the identity of local African culture.

these facts led to the appearance of hybrid texts which are written with a new descriptive language different from normal linguistic level and ordinary writing forms.

therefore, translation studies have adopted a new approach in order to find appropriate solutions that cope with the requirements of these experimental writings and all their creative and aesthetic specificities.

this study aims to shed light on translation strategies that can be applied to this kind of texts through the novel of Ahmadou Kourouma “Allah N’est as obligé” and its translation "لله الأمر" by Touria Ikbal.
