Abstract EN

A new philosophical movement arose during the eighteenth century.

It does not recognise anything except the idea of progress, denying all traditions and believing only in reason that instructs to independent thinking.

The aim was to establish a new system for new values and principles that express human being standing.

As well, it calls for Freedom, equality and democracy as main principles for human life.

By the starting of twentieth century, the world faced a difficult situation that lies in negative aspect of science and its applications, furthermore, in destructive effects upon ethics and human conscious.

It became clear that all what science had announced was been no more than illusion that led humanity to an extreme ethical crisis.
