يشهد العالم تحولات ديموغرافية هامة أهمها تراجع الخصوبة و وصولها إلى ما تحت معدلات الاحلال منذرة بأزمة ديموغرافية بعد عودة ارتفاع الوفيات بسبب ارتفاع الشيخوخة و وفيات الياس.
في حين لا تزال مناطق أخرى تعيش طفرة شبابية لا يمكن اهدارها كعائد ديموغرافي للنمو الاقتصادي وضمان المستقبل.
و تشهد الكثير من الدول تراجعا في عدد سكانها بسبب تجاوز عدد الوفيات عدد المواليد و أصبحت سياساتها الحالية تتجه أكثر نحو تشجيع الانجاب لتدارك انكماشها الديموغرافي.
و عمقت الازمة الديموغرافية الازمة الصحية الناتجة عن جائحة كوفيد-19 حيث مست الوفيات كبار السن مشكلة عبئا إضافيا على اقتصاديات الدول الهرمة، بالمقابل ساهمت الجائحة في تعميق هذه الازمة بتراجع الزواج و المواليد.

The world is undergoing significant demographic changes, the most significant of which is the decline in fertility below the replacement threshold.
Other regions are still experiencing a youth boom that cannot be wasted as a demographic dividend for economic growth and for their future.
Several countries are experiencing population declines because deaths have exceeded births.
Thus, the demographic crisis has aggravated the health crisis caused by the Covad-19 pandemic, which has mainly affected older people by increasing the economic burden on older people, and the pandemic has exacerbated this crisis by declining marriage and birth rates
