Title of the Research: “Criminal Policy (Definition, Legitimacy, Fundamentals, and Fields)” Research Subject: Definition of the criminal policy branched from the science of Sharia regulations, and clarifying its legitimacy, its fundamentals, and the areas of its use.

Research Plan and Sub-divisions: The research includes an introduction and four topics.

Introduction: Included the importance of the subject, research objectives, its limits, previous studies, study approach, and research plan.

First Topic: The definition of criminal regulations.

It has three requirements: First Requirement: The definition of criminal policy in language.

Second Requirement: The idiomatically definition of criminal policy.

Third Requirement: The definition of criminal policy as a composite.

Second Topic: The legality of criminal policy.

Third Topic: The origins of criminal policy.

Fourth Topic: Areas of the criminal policy.

The conclusion and most prominent findings of the research: First: The criminal policy is concerned with the changing aspect of criminal jurisprudence for which no specific, explicit and imperative evidence has been reported.

Second: The criminal policy is one of the branches of the legal regulations, that represents its part of repelling the committed crimes and imposing punishment, and achieving security for the nation in general.

Third: Criminal policy has indicated its legitimacy: the Book, the prophetic traditions and the consensus of the Companions.
